How to Change Job and Grand Company in Final Fantasy XIV?

Final Fantasy XIV allows easy changes in Job and Grand Company. However, without understanding, the whole process can get confused. Let's look at how to change Job and Grand Company in Final Fantasy XIV.

How to Change Jobs in Final Fantasy XIV?

Here's everything you need to know about changing your jobs in FFXIV:

1). Completing your Level 10 Class Quest

You'll need to reach at least level 10 before moving on to other classes.

When you start the game, you pick a class and arrive at your starting city. Playing through your class quests teaches you the basics of playing your class. Once you complete your level 10 class quest, you're free to start branching out.

2). Unlock New Classes

You'll need to unlock the class you'd like to try out first. You can do so by completing that class' questline. Each class has its special trainers who offer quests and guidance. You'll find the Archer, Lancer, and Conjurer trainers in Gridania. Marauder, Rogue, and Arcanist trainers are in Limsa Lominsa. The Gladiator, Pugilist, and Thaumaturge trainers are in Ul=dah. Each trainer is marked on your map with the class icons next to them, so head over to their location.

Every initial class quest is titled, "So You Want to Be a [Class Name]." Once you complete a class' questline, you'll receive its dedicated weapon. Once players have equipped their new weapon, they can go to the character menu and select the Recommended Gear option to equip the best gear for this class. Once players have the gear set and class they want, they can even save this class set for quick gear swaps. To do this, select the Gear Set List option from the Character menu.

Select the + icon at the top of the pop-out window to add this Gear Set to a quick swap menu.

3). Use the Gear Sets System

Gear sets save your current gear, allowing you to quickly switch between settings without manually equipping everything all over again.

• Open your Character menu and select the page icon at the top of the window (a page with a curled left corner). This will bring up your gear list.

• To add a new gear set, click on the plus icon, which will save your current gear and save your current class/job.

• You can switch to its respective gear set when you decide to change to another class or job.

How To Change Your Grand Company in Final Fantasy XIV?

Here's everything you need to know about changing your Grand Company in FFXIV:

1). First, you will need to be a Second (Storm/Serpent/Flame) Lieutenant in your original Grand Company.

2). Once you've achieved this rank, you will have unlocked all purchasable items from that GC.

3). After you've achieved Second Lieutenant, head to the Headquarters of the Grand Company you'd like to transfer to. Their locations are listed below:

• Maelstrom - Maelstrom Command, Limsa Lominsa (x:13.1, y:12.7)

• Twin Adder - Adders' Nest, New Gridania (x:9.8, y:11.0)

• Immortal Flames - Hall of Flames, Ul'dah (x:8.3, y:9.1)

4). Next, speak with the Grand Company's Personnel Officer at the desk.

5). If this is your first time transferring Grand Companies, the transfer fee will be zero, but it will cost 50,000 Final Fantasy XIV Gil per transfer if you want to transfer again after that. Also, you won't be able to transfer again for 15 days. Outside of these two stipulations, you can transfer Grand Companies as much as you want.

6). After speaking with the Personnel Officer and paying the requisite fee, you will be officially transferred to your new Grand Company.

That's all you need to know. If you are looking for more guides, updates, and tips, you can head straight here.
