What is the Auction House for in the game?
The NBA 2K21 MyTeam Auction House is the place for buying and selling playing cards and other collectibles used in the Mode where gamers can list their items, and then other gamers can bid on them or buy now. Many gamers use this as a way to earn additional MT for NBA 2K21, one of the in-game currencies available for the popular MyTeam mode.
The Auction House allows for really drilling down search results based on what you are trying to buy too. For example, you can search for only the Diamond or Opal cards available. Or, you can search by minimum/maximum prices, card theme, player name, team, and many other types of searches.
How to unlock it for NBA 2K21 MyTeam?
Here, we'll explain exactly what you need to do to unlock the Auction House in NBA 2K21.
• MyTeam Agendas
To unlock the Auction House you actually need to complete a specific challenge in the mode's Season Agendas.
MyTeam has added new challenges known as Agendas this year. Lifetime Agendas are essentially tasks that players can complete at any point in time to obtain special rewards. The Auction House is a Lifetime Agenda reward this year.
Select View Season Progress from the MyTeam Home tab. This will show you your MyTeam progress towards various goals that will bring you in-game rewards.
View "Season Progress" by pressing the X button on the PS4 or B button on Xbox One controller.
Scroll over to the "Lifetime Agendas" and then down to the "MyTeam Fanatic" goal to view NBA 2K21's Auction House challenge. The menu is unnecessarily complicated, but you'll get to the right place eventually.
• Collect Cards
To unlock the Auction House in NBA 2K21, you'll need to complete the Season Agenda that asks you to collect 30 cards.
Collecting 30 cards is much easier than it sounds, and it'll happen almost instantly if you bought the Legend Edition of the game that comes with free card packs. You collect cards by spending VC or MT (virtual currency) to open packs in the Pack Market,
Or you can do this by playing various game modes throughout the game. It could be with the multiplayer, single-player, story, etc. This includes Domination, Triple-Threat, and Challenge mode.
All the player has to do is collect 30 cards, it does not matter what the cards are. After you've collected the necessary amount of cards, simply return to the Season Progress screen to claim your reward and gain access to the Auction House. You can then freely head into an auction house to bid on/ sell players, franchise items, consumables, and more.
